The Basics of Allergy

The human body has a fancy immune system which helps it to fight infection. When an infection attacks the body the immune system is triggered to produce antibodies. These antibodies have an individual ‘key’ to fit each individual infection. After publicity to a virus or micro organism, the immune system remembers this ‘key’. This protects the body from repeated infection from the same bacterium or virus. Individuals who have allergic reactions have an immune system that reacts to an often harmless substance in the environment. This substance is known as an allergen. Continue reading

The gluten allergy

Allergic reactions from food are probably the most persistent. It has yet to be found why some individuals react one way to foods, whereas others don’t. The one factor that’s recognized is that as quickly as an allergen to food hits, the signs will not be too far behind. A very powerful food allergy, the gluten allergy, causes people to be extraordinarily delicate to gluten. Celiac illness, related to it, affects the decrease intestines.
